As this day begins, I have been rejuvenated with faith in the many promises of God. He has promised to always be with us. He has promised to be our guide. He has promised to never remove His love from us. The list of promises goes on and on.
I recall the day that I turned back to the Lord 6 years ago, it was through a Bible promise book. I can’t remember what I read but it brought me back to my youth growing up in the church. This collection of His promises of presence, healing, power, love, restoration, and so on were just so overwhelming that it brought me to my knees and I began to truly follow God for the first time completely of my own choosing.
Being reminded of God’s promises, healed my hurting heart and directed my wandering soul.
I came home.
Is it time for you to review God’s promises? Are there some things that God has spoken to you through His word that you need to revisit? Maybe you’ve never heard/read His promises before.
Today is a great day to start. Whether you begin in Psalms or the Gospels of John or Matthew, approach God’s word with expectation of His presence and desire to know His heart.
He has done great things and promises even more.
“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised)” —Hebrews 10:23
